Four years ago, we made a decision that would change the lives of two very special children. Alphabets decided to sponsor Dev, a bright young boy with dreams as vast as the sky. Little did we know, this act of kindness would extend far beyond just helping Dev with his education.

We remember the day vividly. It was right after Dev's school results were out and we had called him to our office for updates. To our pleasant surprise, he came along with his mother and little sister, Raj Nandani. The school office was bustling with students and parents, but as the day went on and the crowds dwindled, they were the only ones who stayed behind.

Curious, our member approached Dev's mother to inquire why they hadn’t left. With a mixture of hope and hesitation, she explained that Raj Nandani was adamant about staying. When we sat down to talk to her, it became clear why. Despite being unable to speak or hear, Raj Nandani had an insatiable hunger for learning. She communicated through gestures and expressions, showing us how she had been learning from Dev's books and notebooks. It was astonishing—she knew more than her brother, driven by an extraordinary zeal to study.

Raj Nandani's determination moved us deeply. She insisted, with her bright, eager eyes, that she too wanted to study. At that moment, we knew we couldn't walk away. From that day forward, we began sponsoring her education as well.

Finding a school suitable for her needs was the first challenge. Eventually, we found "Ashadeep," a renowned school for special children. It was quite far from their home, but distance was a small hurdle compared to Raj Nandani's aspirations. We arranged for personal conveyance to ensure she could attend school without any issues.

Her education didn't stop at school. Raj Nandani needed extra guidance at home, but one-to-one tutors were incredibly expensive. However, we found a solution that suited her personal growth best. Raj Nandani was admitted into the school's hostel, where she could be surrounded by a supportive environment, fostering her development both academically and personally.

The financial commitment was significant - 2000 INR per month for her school fees, 2500 INR for tuitions, and 5000 INR for the hostel. Yet, seeing her smile and the light in her eyes as she learned was worth every penny.

Through these years, Dev and Raj Nandani have become a part of our family, here at Alphabets. Watching Raj Nandani overcome her challenges and thrive has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences in my tenure at Alphabets.
